Thoughts
This show started off really strong in season 1 with the whole ice truck killer case. There was definitely a lot of drama and especially mystery which had me very engaged as I tried to figure out who was behind it all. Once this first season and the case of the ice truck killer was finally “closed,” I wasn’t sure how the show was supposed to even progress after that. However, I kept watching and so far it’s still been enjoyable, but at the moment I feel like season 1 can’t be topped. I’m sure in later seasons I’ll get that same feeling. The other 2 seasons I’ve watched so far were pretty good, I think they do good at introducing new characters. One complaint I have is that it sometimes it seems like they add random out of character things to make things more interesting. However, then it’s forgotten about later on in the show and never mentioned again. Dexter also acts a little cringe sometimes when he keeps reiterating that he has no emotions, but I guess that’s his whole thing so no escaping that. Overall, I’m excited to continue watching the show and give my final review.
